Reporting Race Results
When reporting race results, please include the following information and use the following conventions:
- Name of Race
- Date of Race
- Race Conditions
List the competitors in order of finish, and include for each competitor:
- Place Overall
- Name
- Class
- Place in Class
- Time
Historically SR race reports have often included hometowns of participants and
the make and model of their boats. This makes for more interesting race-result
reading and better SR history. Race Directors are encouraged to include this
info in their race reports.
The standard classes include:
- Kayaks: HPK, FSK, SK (High Performance Kayak, Fast Sea Kayak, Sea Kayak)
- Double Kayaks: HPK2, FSK2, SK2
- Flat water kayaks: K-1, K-2, K-4
- Open water shells: OW-III, OW-II, OW-I, Wherry
- Race shells: 1X, 2X, 4X (Racing single, double, quad)
- Outriggers: OC1, OC2, OC6 (single, double, six)
- PEDAL
Preface the class with the gender: M (Men), W (Women), MX (Mixed).
